Turkey has launched a massive operation against the terrorist group Islamic State, also known as Daesh, following an unclaimed armed attack on the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul.

Nearly 200 people were arrested on Wednesday, a day after the incident, during a simultaneous operation carried out in 34 provinces. Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek stated on platform X that a total of 198 suspects have been detained. This operation comes in response to the intensification of terrorist threats and underscores the Turkish authorities' commitment to combating extremism and ensuring national security.
