American President Donald Trump warned China that it will face serious consequences if it supplies weapons to Iran in the context of the Middle East conflict. In an interview with Fox News, Trump stated that Beijing could be subjected to tariffs of 50% if caught doing so. Trump emphasized that if China continues to support Iran, it will have "big problems." The American president also announced a visit to Beijing on May 14-15, where he will meet with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, a meeting previously postponed due to tensions in the Middle East. Additionally, Trump reiterated the threat to destroy Iran's energy infrastructure, stating that he could do this quickly, mentioning that the targets include all of the country's factories and power plants.
