American President Donald Trump declared on Monday that he has decided to abandon a military strike against Iran, initially scheduled for Tuesday, following requests from Gulf leaders, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. They believe there is a possibility of an agreement with Tehran.

Trump emphasized that, although he has suspended the military operation, the United States is prepared to launch a total and large-scale attack at any moment if an acceptable agreement is not reached that ensures Iran will not develop nuclear weapons. At the same time, Tehran confirmed that it has responded to a new proposal from the United States to end the conflict in the Middle East, although the positions of the two parties remain very far apart.
