Donald Trump, the president of the USA, stated that Vladimir Putin will not attack NATO territory, a reassurance given after a direct discussion with the Kremlin leader. This statement was made in a podcast, on the very day that Moscow threatened Britain, a NATO member, with possible attacks due to the support given to Ukraine.

During the interview, Trump avoided commenting on a warning issued by CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Russia regarding attacks on NATO, but reiterated that Russia will not attack. The Kremlin stated that Ratcliffe did not meet with Putin, but with the intelligence community, without providing details about the topics discussed.
