In a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump pledged a $1 trillion defense budget, a significant increase from the $892 billion currently allocated. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stressed that this amount would be used effectively to rapidly rebuild the military. Civilian personnel cuts are also expected at the Pentagon as the armed services look to reinvest in modernization. Defense spending is already forecast to exceed $900 billion in the next budget.
