In an interview with Ben Terris from New York Magazine, President Donald Trump seemed to forget the name of the disease Alzheimer, while trying to deny that he suffers from this condition. The moment occurred in the context of discussions about his health, in which Trump mentioned that his father did not have health problems until an advanced age.
When he tried to describe his father's health issues, he asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt what the disease was called, and she replied "Alzheimer." Trump insisted that he does not suffer from this disease and stated that he feels the same as he did 40 years ago, with his doctors confirming that they have no concerns about his health.
His niece, Mary Trump, suggested that her uncle might have symptoms of Alzheimer, noting traits of her grandfather, who suffered from this disease before his death.
