The President of the USA, Donald Trump, acknowledged that he recently met with Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, at the White House, where they discussed Netflix's proposal to acquire Warner Bros and HBO Max for 83 billion dollars. Donald Trump emphasized that the government's analysis of this transaction must follow a rigorous process, noting that he will be involved in the final decision.

Although Ted Sarandos expressed optimism about obtaining the necessary approvals, Donald Trump indicated that there could be issues related to the significant market share that this transaction entails. Netflix, with over 300 million users, would add HBO Max to its customer base, while Warner Bros. Discovery reported 128 million subscribers to its streaming services. Ted Sarandos stated that the transaction will benefit consumers and will stimulate innovation and economic growth.
