In a recent statement, Trump criticized the Israeli attack in Qatar, which resulted in the death of five Hamas members and one member of the Qatari security forces. Although he expressed dissatisfaction with this incident, American diplomacy emphasized that relations with Israel will not suffer consequences. Qatar plays an important role as a mediator in the negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, where the conflict escalated after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
