Donald Trump launched harsh criticisms against British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, accusing him of a lack of support in the context of coordinated attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.
In a message posted on a social network, Donald Trump refers to Keir Starmer's hesitations to join the U.S. mission in Iran:
"The United Kingdom, once our ally - perhaps the greatest of all - is seriously considering sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. It’s fine, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them anymore - but we will remember. We don’t need people who join wars after we have already won!", Trump posted on Truth Social
Starmer stated that the United Kingdom will not participate in attacks, emphasizing the need for a well-thought-out plan and compliance with international law.
Although he allowed the use of British bases for limited attacks, Starmer was criticized by Trump for his initial hesitation to provide support. Trump compared the situation to the time of Winston Churchill, expressing his disappointment over the deterioration of relations between the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
