Donald Trump has announced a US entry ban on citizens from 12 countries, including Yemen, Somalia and Haiti, to prevent terrorist threats. The decision was prompted by a recent attack in Colorado, and the ban will go into effect on June 9. Exceptions will be made for visa holders and travelers serving the national interest. Trump has emphasized that there can be no open migration from countries with weak controls.
