President Trump has escalated the conflict with Harvard, accusing the university of promoting a leftist ideology and tolerating anti-Semitism. He said Harvard does not deserve federal funding and should not be included among the world's top universities. In response, his administration froze $2 billion in federal funding for the institution and threatened to lose tax breaks. Harvard, with more than $50 billion in assets, refuses to comply with Trump's demands on hiring and diversity programs.
