American President Donald Trump provided a positive assessment after meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, during which he secured China's commitment to take measures against the flow of fentanyl. Trump announced that the 20% tariffs on fentanyl-related imports from China will be reduced to 10%, which will lower the total value of tariffs on imports from China from 57% to 47%. The meeting lasted about an hour and 45 minutes, exceeding the scheduled time. Trump also mentioned a one-year agreement with Beijing, which stipulates that there will be no drastic restrictions on rare minerals, essential for chip production. He stated that issues related to rare earths have been resolved, thus benefiting the entire world.
