Donald Trump stated that a new bill regarding sanctions against Russia could include Iran and Hezbollah, emphasizing the importance of this initiative.

The legislative project, which has a high chance of adoption, aims to impose sanctions on states that maintain trade relations with Russia, especially through the purchase of oil and natural gas. This comes against the backdrop of Moscow's refusal to negotiate a peace agreement with Ukraine.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a key supporter of the law, recently passed away, and Trump mentioned that the project is a tribute to his desire to advance these sanctions. Graham had a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where he discussed advancing the law, which provides new tools for the president to exert pressure towards ending the conflict.

Following his death, the governor of South Carolina appointed his sister, Darline Graham Nordone, to continue his term.
