President Donald Trump has announced the construction of a missile defense system similar to Israel's Iron Dome, dubbed the "Golden Dome," which will also involve Canada. The system, at an estimated cost of $175 billion, will be operational by the end of his term. Trump has previously signed an executive order to develop the shield, designed to protect US territory. Although inspired by Israel's success, experts warn that such systems are better suited for short- and medium-range attacks, not intercontinental missiles.
