The President of the USA, Donald Trump, announced on Friday that Iran will make an offer to the United States, but he acknowledged that he does not know what it consists of. In a phone interview with Reuters, Trump mentioned that discussions are ongoing, but he avoided providing details about who the US is negotiating with in Iran. He emphasized that the uncertainty regarding Iran's leadership complicates negotiations, stating that it is unclear who the leader of the country is. In this context, the President's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will travel to Islamabad on Saturday for discussions with Iran, mediated by Pakistan. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt mentioned that the Trump administration has observed progress from the Iranian side in recent days, but did not provide further details. This meeting is expected to lead to positive developments in the relations between the two countries.
