US President Donald Trump has announced that Beijing can continue to buy oil from Iran, marking a shift in US sanctions policy. The decision comes amid a slump in oil prices, with Brent crude down 4.66% a barrel. China is the main buyer of Iranian oil, absorbing more than 90% of Tehran's exports. Trump also commented on the recent Iranian attack on the US base in Qatar, calling it a weak response, and mentioned a possible armistice agreement between Israel and Iran.
