A train with 250 people on board derailed in Oaxaca, Mexico, causing the death of 13 people and injuring another 98.

Of those on board, 139 were declared out of danger, while 98 were injured, of which 36 received medical assistance.
President Claudia Sheinbaum stated on X that five of the injured are in critical condition, adding that high-ranking officials have been sent to the scene to assist the families of the deceased.
