A tragic railway accident occurred on Thursday morning in the southwest of China, in Yunnan province, where a train carrying seismic monitoring equipment collided with a group of workers. The railway authorities reported that the incident took place in the area of a station, when the workers entered the railway track. Following the collision, 11 people died, and two others were injured. The railway administration in Kunming immediately activated an emergency response plan and collaborated with local authorities to organize rescue operations. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the accident, and those responsible will be held accountable.
