On Tuesday, in the western suburbs of Lisbon, a bus lost control of the steering wheel, causing a tragic accident in which two people died and another 20 were injured, according to information provided by MEDIAFAX and AFP. The two victims, two women aged between 30 and 40, were waiting for the bus when they were struck.


The incident resulted in serious injuries for three people, and authorities deployed significant emergency resources, including a psychological intervention unit. The commander of the municipal police of Sintra, Francisco Alves, confirmed the details of the accident, and Prime Minister Luis Montenegro expressed 'deep dismay' at the tragedy. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
