Over 67,000 people have died in the war in Gaza Strip, two years after Israel's massive invasion.

The invasion was triggered by a surprise attack by thousands of militants led by Hamas, who stormed into southern Israel, attacking military bases, agricultural communities, and an outdoor music festival, killing approximately 1,200 people, mostly civilians, including women, children, and elderly adults, and kidnapping another 251. In response, Israel launched an offensive in Gaza, which led to the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the leveling of entire cities.
