On Thursday, Israeli planes and tanks carried out bombings in eastern Gaza Strip, despite Israel's commitment to a ceasefire supported by the US. Residents of Gaza reported 10 airstrikes in Khan Younis and tank shelling in Gaza City, with no reported casualties.
The Israeli army stated that the strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure threatening Israeli troops. These attacks occurred after Israel retaliated for the death of a soldier, resulting in 104 deaths, including 46 children and 20 women, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Israel published a list of targeted militants, but Hamas dismissed the accusations, calling the list disinformation. International mediators intervened to restore calm in the context of a fragile ceasefire.
