American Vice President J. D. Vance stated in an interview with Newsmax that the war in Ukraine is at an impasse, despite lengthy negotiations. He emphasized that both Russia and Ukraine are currently not in a position to reach an agreement. Vance mentioned a "fundamental misalignment of expectations" between the two countries, adding that Russia is making military advances that complicate the situation.


However, he assured that a solution is possible, but it requires "much more work." The Vice President praised the active diplomacy of President Donald Trump, which, in his opinion, gives teams more freedom to explore unconventional solutions for an agreement.
