France has also issued similar recommendations, advising citizens to avoid travel to Iran and to distance themselves from gatherings. Protests in Iran, initiated by merchants from the Grand Bazaar in Tehran, have turned into a major political movement, generating the largest anti-government demonstrations in recent years. U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that he is considering strong options, including military ones, in response to the repression by the Iranian regime.
