The United States has reintroduced a naval blockade on Iranian ports, following a similar measure during the period of April to June, in the context of reported attacks across the region.
The U.S. has carried out strikes on Iranian targets, and President Donald Trump has threatened to hit Iranian infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, if Tehran does not return to negotiations. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has threatened to halt energy exports from the Middle East in response to the blockade. Additionally, the Iranian military has claimed to have attacked American military targets in Jordan.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned Iran's attacks on Jordan, deeming them unacceptable. In this context, Kuwait and Bahrain have warned citizens about imminent threats, and aviation agencies have recommended avoiding the airspace in the region.
