The United States government will establish a coordination platform that will bring together artificial intelligence developers and critical infrastructure operators, aiming to improve the exchange of information about cyber vulnerabilities and strengthen the response to threats.

The initiative, part of an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in June, addresses concerns related to the use of advanced AI models to exploit computer vulnerabilities. The new structure will facilitate collaboration between AI companies and organizations in essential sectors, such as finance, energy, and healthcare.

Officials emphasize that models developed by companies like Anthropic and OpenAI can identify vulnerabilities but can also be used for malicious purposes. The platform will allow for rapid information exchange and will avoid duplication of efforts in protecting critical infrastructure.
