A document from the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) shows that the U.S. intends to develop AI technologies capable of running autonomous propaganda campaigns, identifying dissenting opinions, and creating personalized messages. These systems could use 'deepfakes' as manipulation tools. The SOCOM spokesperson stated that the programs are being developed responsibly and do not target the American public, but experts warn about the risks of amplifying global manipulation.
