The hacker group Noname057(16) claimed a cyber attack that disrupted the French national postal service during the Christmas period, affecting deliveries and online payments.

The DDoS attack took place on Christmas Eve, causing the shutdown of the postal computer systems, which led to the inability to deliver packages and the interruption of online payments through La Banque Postale. The General Directorate of Internal Security has taken over the investigation. Noname057(16) was previously involved in attacks on press and government websites in various European countries. Although the group was partially dismantled following an international police operation, it managed to quickly resume activity, continuing to target French institutions, including the Ministry of Justice.
