A study conducted by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) highlighted the proliferation of disinformation from the Pravda network, aligned with Russia, which is considered credible by many websites. This network has been identified by the French government and produces a large number of articles, with a significant increase this year, reaching 23,000 articles per day. The main goal is to flood chatbots like ChatGPT with pro-Russia narratives, a process referred to as 'LLM grooming'. ISD found that 40% of the content from the Pravda network is related to the war in Ukraine, but it also addresses other topics. Experts warn that the increased legitimacy of the network could undermine media coverage of the conflict in Ukraine, allowing Russian narratives to become predominant.
