In a press conference, Pentagon officials announced that they will request an increase of over 20% in the Defense budget, reaching a total amount of approximately 900 billion dollars for the current fiscal year. This request comes in the context of the conflict with Iran, where the United States has already spent over 11.3 billion dollars in the first six days of war. Officials emphasized the necessity of these funds to replace consumed munitions and to continue military operations.

Criticism has been directed at former President Joe Biden for depleting the American arsenal through military aid to Ukraine. Additionally, the Pentagon chief refused to provide a timeline for the end of the conflict, leaving this decision to President Trump. Despite attacks on the Iranian leadership, the regime in Tehran continues to retaliate, and U.S. intelligence services suggest that Iran has not resumed uranium enrichment activities, thus contradicting the justifications for war. The resignation of the head of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, Joseph Kent, has brought into discussion the real motives of the conflict, highlighting Israel's influence on American decisions.
