The U.S. Department of Defense announced the closure of the press offices in the Pentagon, following the cancellation of the new accreditation system for journalists imposed by the Trump administration. The district court ruled that the rules established last year, which required reporters to sign a document committing them not to publish classified information, violate freedom of expression. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed that the 'Correspondents' Corridor' will be closed, and the press offices will be relocated to an annex, the location of which has not been disclosed. Journalists will be able to attend press conferences and interviews, but will be accompanied by officials during their visit to the building. This decision marks a significant change in the way the Pentagon interacts with the media.
