The Pentagon will hold a press conference on Tuesday morning dedicated to the war in Iran, the first of its kind in nearly two weeks. The conference, scheduled for 8:00 AM (Eastern Time), will be led by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine. It will provide updates on the war efforts, following the last public conference that took place on March 19.
Since the start of the attacks in Iran on February 28, the Pentagon has held six press conferences, but during the Trump administration, the number of these was reduced. Sabrina Singh, former deputy press secretary, emphasized the importance of these briefings for transparency and accountability in decision-making, noting that their absence leaves the public with unresolved questions.
