The Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico risks being taken to court by the opposition, accusing him of abuse of office, treason, and terrorism. Branislav Gröhling, the president of the Freedom and Solidarity Party, stated that the criminal complaint targets the government's decision to stop emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.

Parliamentarian Karol Galek emphasized that this action opens a new front against Ukraine and aligns with Russian interests, severely affecting civilians and the functioning of hospitals.

The Fico government has interrupted the transit of energy to Ukraine in response to Ukraine's refusal to resume the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, deemed essential for supplying Slovakia and Hungary. In this context, Hungary has blocked a package of European Union sanctions against Russia, further complicating the situation.
