The London police have carried out a vast operation to dismantle an international network suspected of illegally transporting nearly 40,000 stolen phones from the United Kingdom to China.

This operation, considered the largest in the history of the United Kingdom, was initiated after the police found a box with approximately 1,000 iPhones, most of them stolen, intended for Hong Kong. Among the arrests made, 11 were related to attacks on delivery vehicles of the new iPhone 17. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, emphasized the importance of this action against gangs of smugglers and thieves, in the context of over 80,000 mobile phones being stolen in London in 2024.
