Three Romanian citizens were arrested in Italy, near Milan, after being caught stealing thousands of Amazon packages containing expensive products, such as appliances and computer equipment. The packages, which never reached the customers, were discovered in an abandoned industrial warehouse, where the carabinieri intervened after noticing a truck with Romanian license plates entering the area.
The three Romanians, aged between 24 and 30 and with no criminal record, are accused of receiving stolen goods. Italian authorities estimate that the financial damage is significant, but the exact quantification of the value of the stolen goods is still ongoing. The investigation continues, and the confiscated goods have been taken over by the authorities.
