The Kremlin announced on Tuesday that the last direct phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American President Donald Trump took place on October 16. This statement came after Trump claimed that he had discussed "recently" with his Russian counterpart, in the context of the U.S. mediating a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's spokesperson, emphasized that although Trump mentioned a recent discussion, the last official communication was on October 16 and no other phone calls took place after that date. Peskov suggested that Trump's statements do not align with the reality of official communications.
