The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to intensify, despite the diplomatic efforts of the United States to prevent the expansion of the war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, considered strongholds of Hezbollah, justifying the actions by the attacks on Israeli civilians. Thousands of Lebanese civilians have left Beirut following Israeli threats, and Washington is trying to keep diplomatic channels open, proposing a de-escalation mechanism.

Tensions have risen after Israeli forces crossed the Litani River, and Israeli officials claim that the objective is to diminish Hezbollah's capabilities. Lebanese authorities accuse Israel of implementing a policy of collective punishment. Since the beginning of the conflict, over 3,371 people have been killed in Lebanon, and the risks of regional escalation are increasing.
