The new government of Hungary, led by Peter Magyar, announced that it will release new quantities of fuels from the strategic reserve starting next week, a measure justified by the need to ensure supply continuity without jeopardizing short-term provisioning. The decision was made after the first meeting of the Executive, in the context of pressures on the energy market, and the new prime minister also specified the introduction of stricter rules regarding the approval of government spending and investments until the budgetary situation inherited from the former cabinet is clarified.
