Incident at Sabarimala: the helicopter of the President of India, blocked on the helipad before landing

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, encountered an unusual incident during her visit to Sabarimala when the helicopter's wheels got stuck in a depression of the recently concreted helipad at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pramadam.

The landing took place on Wednesday morning, and images broadcast by television showed police and firefighters trying to free the helicopter by pushing it out of the small depressions created on the concrete. The incident was caused by the paving work done just a few hours before the president's arrival, which led to problems during landing. After being assisted, Droupadi Murmu continued her journey to Pamba by road.
