Egypt will officially inaugurate the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on Saturday, near the Great Pyramid of Khufu, with the participation of leaders from around the world.

Scheduled to open to the public on November 4, GEM will be the largest archaeological museum in the world, housing approximately 100,000 artifacts from seven millennia of Egyptian history. Among the main attractions is the intact tomb of Tutankhamun, displayed for the first time in its entirety, including the famous gold mask. The cost of the museum complex amounts to 1.2 billion dollars, and it is estimated that it will attract up to 8 million visitors annually, thus revitalizing Egyptian tourism.
