The German economy is going through one of the most difficult periods in recent years, with a deep crisis in the industry. An EY study shows that by 2025, over 120,000 jobs have been lost, with the automotive industry being the most affected, having eliminated approximately 50,000 positions.

The turnover of the industrial sector has decreased by almost 5% since 2023, and by 2025 it recorded a decline of 1.1%. Compared to 2019, the industry has lost 266,000 employees, and the outlook for 2026 remains bleak, with a modest growth estimated at 1%.

Experts emphasize the need for structural reforms and economic measures to prevent further deterioration of the situation, including tax increases and the elimination of harmful subsidies. Without a significant economic boost, the German industry risks continuing its restructuring, affecting hundreds of thousands of employees.
