The European Commission's annual report on EU enlargement shows that, although Ukraine has demonstrated remarkable commitment to the accession process, the necessary reforms are stagnant, especially in the field of justice. Brussels acknowledges the acceleration of reforms in Kyiv, but warns of limited progress in the fight against corruption and the pressures exerted on anti-corruption agencies. Ukraine must accelerate reforms to achieve its goal of EU membership by 2028. Ukrainian officials contest the information about negative trends, considering that the official EU report is favorable.
