The President of the ECB, Christine Lagarde, stated that interest rates must reflect the level of inflation, which remained steady at 2% in the eurozone in August. Although economic uncertainty has significantly decreased following the agreements between the EU and the US regarding tariffs, challenges continue. The ECB decided to keep interest rates unchanged at 2.00% for the deposit facility and 2.15% for refinancing, emphasizing that no additional monetary easing measures are necessary for now.
