The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Abdolrahim Mousavi, was killed as a result of American and Israeli attacks.

Abdolrahim Mousavi, appointed as the chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces in June 2025, was killed during coordinated attacks by the United States and Israel. Iranian state television reported that Mousavi died along with other high-ranking military leaders, including Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, head of the Revolutionary Guards Mohammad Pakpour, and head of the defense council Ali Shamkhani, during a meeting of the Defense Council.

Also, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was declared dead by President Donald Trump, and the Iranian press confirmed his death, mentioning that his family was also affected, with his daughter, grandson, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law being killed in the same attacks.
