Hasan Uzun, 46 years old, was arrested by the Italian police as part of an investigation into a plot to assassinate former Pope Francis, planned for his visit to Trieste in July 2024. The arrest took place after his extradition from the Netherlands, and Uzun is now being held in isolation.
