The African Union (AU) issued a call on Saturday for an 'urgent de-escalation' of international tensions, following attacks carried out by the United States and Israel on Iran. The Chairperson of the AU Commission, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, emphasized the need for restraint and dialogue, warning that any further escalation could worsen global instability, negatively impacting energy markets and food security, especially in Africa, where conflicts are already acute.

At the same time, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam warned against Lebanon's involvement in a war, urging unity and patriotism. Hezbollah's Secretary General, Naim Qassem, stated that the group would not remain neutral in the event of an attack on Iran.
