Thailand has won approval to hold a Formula 1 race on the streets of Bangkok with a $1.2 billion bid. If successful, the capital will host an annual race between 2028 and 2032. The initiative is seen as an opportunity to promote tourism, which is crucial to the country's economy, according to government officials.
