Thailand hosted the second annual "Death Fest" in Nonthaburi province, near Bangkok, aimed at helping people address the topic of death, often considered taboo. The festival, influenced by Buddhist principles, brings together experts from fields such as health, financial planning, and funeral services. Sangduan Ngamvinijaroon, a participant in the event, mentioned that the experience of caring for sick family members helped her talk more easily about death. Among the activities, visitors can experience the "Die Test," where they can lie in coffins to reflect on mortality. Biodegradable coffins made from mycelium were also showcased, promoting an eco-friendly approach to burial. Noppasaward Panyajaray, founder of an online memorialization platform, noted a similar emotional connection, with users creating memorial pages for pets, highlighting their importance in people's lives.
