The police intervened to separate the two camps, which were throwing bottles and smoke bombs. Among the protesters was Dijana Hrka, the mother of one of the victims, who announced that she is going on a hunger strike to demand justice. Supporters of Vučić, who have camped in front of the Parliament, are protected by the police, and public access is restricted. The protesters accuse the regime of corruption and negligence in the renovation of the train station, demanding early elections and the release of those detained. The authorities have intensified repression, and the pro-government press has labeled the protesters as "terrorists."
