In response to the criticisms of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the repression of protests in Iran, the head of Iranian diplomacy, Abbas Araghchi, reacted vehemently, calling Zelensky a "disoriented clown." Zelensky stated at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the world has not helped the Iranian people enough in the face of repression, which has led to thousands of deaths.
Araghchi responded on platform X, stating that Iran does not need external help to defend itself and criticized Ukraine for its dependence on foreign support. He also accused Zelensky of calling for illegal U.S. aggression against Iran, while Kiev and the West accuse Iran of supplying weapons to Russia. Tehran has consistently denied these accusations.
