Recently, a market in Buenos Aires became the scene of an unusual trend, where teenagers dressed and acted like animals. Sofia, wearing a beagle mask, ran on the grass, while Aguara, 15 years old, imitated a Belgian dog, jumping over obstacles. Other young people, dressed as cats and foxes, climbed trees, attracting the attention of onlookers.

This movement, popularized on TikTok through the hashtag #therian, has generated over 2 million posts and attracted the attention of the media and influencers, provoking varied reactions. Psychologists have begun to analyze the phenomenon, and Aguara, who identifies as a Belgian Malinois, claims that, although he lives a normal life, there are moments when he feels like a dog. This trend reflects an exploration of identity and personal expression among the youth of Argentina.
